Hello, I’m Alex – a UX Strategist and team lead with over a decade using DesignOps and human-centered service design so others around me can do amazing work. I’m okay with that.

Constantly on an inspired mission writing the future of what experience design could look like, I thrive when synthesizing insights, distilling them into high-value propositions, positioning, information architecture, and navigating complex requirements. I relish rolling them out in system maps and frameworks that ensure web experiences are global, intuitive to use, and feel personal at the right time, in the right place.

I live in a cabin in the Southern Californian mountains, chopping wood and tending both vegetables and young children. I also renovate strange furniture found in village home yard sales.

Co-founded and was instrumental in building the region's leading strategy and design consultancy, growing an initial team of three to 16, then 60.

Developed great talent, acquired top-tier clientele, crafted an enviable culture. By balancing design thinking and project management I consistently delivered innovative solutions and services for complex branding projects using our proprietary phased process and successfully applied it across sectors and industries. Based out of a WW2-era warehouse next door to the Angostura rum factory, we juggled several studio expansions from 600-6000 sq ft, a merger with Ogilvy+WPP, a downsizing, relocations, and a phoenix-esque rebirth. And yes, lots of rum was involved.
